Chris Polson, Chris is a Senior Director with Veracap Corporate Finance Limited and Campbell Valuation Partners Limited. Chris has advised numerous owners of privately held companies throughout Canada and beyond on matters dealing with business valuation, acquisitions and financing and has helped many business owners in enhancing and realizing the value of their company in the divestiture process. Early in his career, Chris has been called upon to act as an expert witness before the Courts. Chris holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from McMaster University (recipient of the University Scholarship and Dr. H.L. Hooker Scholarship), a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Queen’s School of Business, and is currently completing the Financial Management Program at Harvard Business School. He is a member of the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, and the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute. Chris has written a number of articles on the subjects of business valuation and pricing, and is the co-author of ‘Acquisitions & Divestitures of Private Companies’, a chapter within the recent text Corporate Finance for Canadian Executives (Thomson-Carswell, 2007). He is also a frequent speaker at seminars throughout Canada on the subjects of business valuation, acquisitions and divestitures. Chris contributes his time to the boards and committees of numerous non-profit and for-profit organizations. |
