Kurt A. Schurer,

Kurt is a Managing Director of Veracap Corporate Finance Limited. He has helped numerous business owners deal with acquisitions and divestitures. With a career at one of Canada’s major financial institutions spanning over 20 years, including five years as the succession financing consultant for Western Canada dealing exclusively with privately held companies, he is well qualified to serve the needs of clients looking for assistance in dealing with succession issues. Most recently Kurt was V.P. Mid-Market Divestitures for a Calgary based brokerage firm. Kurt is actively involved with CAFE Calgary (current President), Calgary Chapter of Certified General Accountants of Alberta (on Executive) and Rotary.

Kurt Schurer graduated from the University of Calgary in 1982 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He obtained his Certified General Accountant designation in 1989. He has completed the Canadian Securities Course and Personal Financial Planning Courses through the Institute of Canadian Bankers.

Kurt is a frequent speaker to audiences in Southern Alberta on the subject of business divestitures having been addressing various organizations on the subject since 2000.
